The Goethe-Instituts in Germany offer German courses from levels A1 to C2 at 11 different locations. We recommend attending a general German language course up to level B1 before starting a specialist language course from level B2. In our morning courses Intensive German, Intensive German Concise and German Refresher, you will learn German intensively and in a short period of time or refresh your existing knowledge. Furthermore, you also have the opportunity to improve your knowledge in an evening, weekend or online German course alongside your job.

German for Legal Professionals

For the language levels B2 to C1, we offer a specialist German course at the Goethe-Institut Bonn. In our German course for legal professionals lawyers, law students, legal assistants, notary assistants and anyone who needs knowledge of German legal terminology can take part. The course deals intensively with the specific technical language and typical grammatical structures of legal texts. Topics come, inter alia, from civil law, in particular from the civil law code, labor law, family law and civil litigation. The German course for legal professionals also contains information on legal and judicial professional practice. In addition, there are visits to courts and seminars with specialist lawyers from the University of Bonn and the University of Cologne as well as with practitioners from various fields of law.

You have the option of taking a German exam on each level. We offer examinations for the levels A1 to C2 on a monthly basis at all Goethe-Instituts in Germany. The Goethe-Institute's examination certificates are valued internationally as proof of qualifications.
