Electronic Music

The Goethe-Institut Cairo offers three female electronic musicians from Germany the opportunity to spend six weeks in the residency space “Weiße Villa” in the neighbourhood of Dokki in Cairo, Egypt. The residency provides a unique possibility to exchange with the Egyptian electronic music scene, participate in collective jam sessions and to perform in Cairo.

They have produced with LA based noise trio HEALTH, tour with Tenessee based rap artist BBYMUTHA and co-curate CTM festival. They have collaborated with visual artists, choreographers, dancers and neuro-scientists. Their most recent projects include a digital performance piece for European Center of the Arts, Hellerau, soundtracking parts of a deconstruction of Wagners “Ring des Nibelungen” for Schauspielhaus Zürich and leading an orchestra for Volksbuehne Berlin.
