We would like to inform our partners and visitors that the Goethe-Institut Finnland library will unfortunately close at the end of 2024. This decision is brought about by reduced resources and declining visitor numbers. Books and media can be borrowed until 31 October 2024. The library's last opening day is December 12, 2024.
The Goethe-Institut's digital library Onleihe will stay open and is accessible around the clock. The online library offers digital media free of charge, including German-language e-books, audio books, materials for learning German, magazines, and films.
Our cultural programme, including the literature and translation funding programme, will continue in spite of the library closure. For example our Saksaa suomeksi event series on translated literature will resume in the autumn.
