Constellations for Futures

Stories on Ecology, Kinship and Sciences

Goethe-Institut Brussels and La Loge present Constellations for Futures, a three-day programme of critical discourse with lectures, film screenings and artistic performances at the intersection of ecology, community and science.

The multidisciplinary programme combines scientific knowledge with fictional narratives, true events and speculations, and questions the meaning of and lessons to be learnt from current crises. Scientists and artists examine inequalities and rethink relationships between humans and non-humans. The potential of dialogue between artistic positions and scientific research lies in creating new constellations: Spaces to listen and share thoughts from the present to form new kinships, alliances and communities.

Constellations for Futures is conceived as an extension of global reflections on the impact of the pandemic, as well as a series of events. Together, Goethe-Institut Brussels and La Loge question and explore the challenges we face in these times of ecological and social crisis.

The programme will also be available to stream on these digital platforms from 4th to 10th December 2021.
