Fit in Deutsch Exams

Exams Exams | © Goethe-Institut/Bettina Siegwart In summer 2016 the Goethe-Institut implemented the Goethe exams for young learners (FIT in DEUTSCH) at their PASCH schools in the UK.

The exams which comprise reading, listening, writing and speaking sections, were conducted by two examiners from the Goethe-Institut. Special focus was laid on daily communication skills.

The German language opens career opportunities and enables students to take part in internationally recognised exchange programmes which are partly supported by scholarships. This is a great motivation to take an exam conducted by the Goethe-Institut and recognised throughout the world. German is the second most commonly used scientific language in the world and the language of writers and thinkers.

The teachers at the PASCH schools, of course, have been involved in this programme. The Goethe-Institut London offered training days which provided an overview of the exams and materials. The training days enabled the teachers to exchange ideas and get started with the preparation for the FIT in DEUTSCH exams.
