Showcase and Gig with AGF

KET, Athen

A twofold evening performance showcasing experimental sonic and textual compositions by participating artists of the workshop workshop Noise Writings - a collaborative sound and word making, conceived and performed in a collective and/or individual manner.

Following the work of the local artists, digital songwriter, sound artist and curator, composer, poet, AGF, will present a set that transcends the conventional boundaries of sound and language. An immersive sonic experience that intricates soundscapes, noise together with spoken word, glitchy beats, and broken melodies to offer a liminal space that resonates the unheard and unseen. Seamlessly blending elements of music, poetry, and digital art, AGF will push the limits of our perception of noisy language and sound in a performance comprised of narratives articulated through the lens of feminism and radical ecology.

The names of the local participating artists will be announced soon.

A few words about the workshop Noisy Writings
Noisy Writings is a four-days workshop on improvising, writing, rewriting, cutting and pasting, warping and performing text and sound facilitated by artists and curators Antye Greie-Ripatti (AGF) and Cedrik Fermont (C-drik). Learning and unlearning ways of writing and sounding words through sound and vice versa, this workshop will provide the space and time to explore, both on a collective and individual manner, non-linear and fragmented ways of composing with electronic sound, speaking and singing voice, everyday objects and bodies. A hands-on workshop where participating artists will jam and discover, together as a group, ways of writing sounds and sounding words. Participants will be encouraged to come up with intimate sonic portraits, capturing the essence of their personal sonic identity. These portraits will offer a deeper understanding of their creative processes, influences, and positionalities. A diverse range of sounds, styles, mediums and technologies, will be nurtured in order to accommodate the needs and interests of the group. The participating artists together with Antye Greie-Ripatti (AGF) and Cedrik Fermont (C-drik) will engage in a mutual exchange where all parties will be regarded as equal in a process of learning and exchanging skills, experiences and knowledge. The workshop will culminate in a live performance open to the public where the artists will showcase their noisy sets, or else instances of their personal and group noisy wor(l)ds with the audience.
