Showcase and Gig with C-drík

A twofold evening performance showcasing experimental sonic and textual compositions by participating artists of the workshop workshop Noise Writings - a collaborative sound and word making, conceived and performed in a collective and/or individual manner.

Following the work of the local artists, musician in the noise, electronic, and experimental music field, curator, independent researcher and composer C-drik, will present a set that challenges and expands our auditory perceptions by blending electronic textures, ambient noise, and non-linear rhythms, creating a sonic and textual both complex and captivating. A set that is crafted, to explore sonic and textual noise as a means of storytelling and expression. Fusing raw noise with layered beats and language, C-drik will perform a set where the audible and inaudible collide opening up a crevice for sounding stories and bodies otherwise.

A few words about the workshop  Noisy Writings
Noisy Writings is a four-days workshop on improvising, writing, rewriting, cutting and pasting, warping and performing text and sound facilitated by artists and curators Antye Greie-Ripatti (AGF) and Cedrik Fermont (C-drik). Learning and unlearning ways of writing and sounding words through sound and vice versa, this workshop will provide the space and time to explore, both on a collective and individual manner, non-linear and fragmented ways of composing with electronic sound, speaking and singing voice, everyday objects and bodies. A hands-on workshop where participating artists will jam and discover, together as a group, ways of writing sounds and sounding words. Participants will be encouraged to come up with intimate sonic portraits, capturing the essence of their personal sonic identity. These portraits will offer a deeper understanding of their creative processes, influences, and positionalities. A diverse range of sounds, styles, mediums and technologies, will be nurtured in order to accommodate the needs and interests of the group. The participating artists together with Antye Greie-Ripatti (AGF) and Cedrik Fermont (C-drik) will engage in a mutual exchange where all parties will be regarded as equal in a process of learning and exchanging skills, experiences and knowledge. The workshop will culminate in a live performance open to the public where the artists will showcase their noisy sets, or else instances of their personal and group noisy wor(l)ds with the audience.
