German courses for children with Hans Hase

What can children expect from the course?

• Hans Hase: The hand puppet, Hans Hase, is the central figure with whom children identify. Through him, they gain access to the new language and culture, as Hans Hase comes from Germany and speaks and understands only German.
• Communication and Interaction: The desire to communicate with Hans Hase motivates children to learn German. By listening, repeating, singing, and playing, children get to know Hans Hase and gently immerse themselves in the world of the German language.
• Interactive Stories: Together with Hans Hase, children experience exciting stories that stimulate their imagination and enhance their language skills.
• Songs and Games: Music and movement are essential elements of language learning. By singing and playing, children practice new words and structures naturally and apply them in various contexts repeatedly.
• Crafting and Drawing Activities: Various crafting and drawing tasks foster children's creativity and support their language learning process.
• Friendship and Community: The stimulating learning environment and positive learning atmosphere ensure each child is optimally supported. Learning in a group gives children the chance to make friends and practice working with other

Course Structure
Our Hans Hase Children's Course lasts for 30 weeks, with one class per week. Each class lasts 60 minutes and includes an integrated break designed by the course leader. Parents are asked to accompany their child/children to the classroom and to say goodbye there. Furthermore, they should remain in the Goethe Institute building or in its immediate vicinity and be reachable by phone. This provides the children with security and contributes to their well-being.On four occasions, which we will announce in advance, parents will be invited to observe the classes so they can get to know our work and witness their child/children's progress.

Course Objectives

• Development of children's foreign language skills in listening and speaking.
• Introduction to German culture and traditions through stories, games, and songs.
• Promotion of personal and social skills through group learning.

Registration and Costs
Registration for the Hans Hase Children's Course can be done online or in person at our course office.
The course fee is 120.000 HUF per child. Discounts are available for siblings and early registrants.
