As the cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany, we promote cultural exchange, education and social discourse. We support the teaching and learning of the German language and provide information worldwide about the cultural and social diversity of Germany and Europe.
The project “Aspekte der Anwesenheit” (Aspects of Presence; working title) is an exhibition, artistic research and discourse project in collaboration with the CAC Vilnius, the Academy of Arts, Berlin and other partners. Against the backdrop of the permanent deployment of a German brigade to Lithuania and from its specific location, the project aims to explore the cultural dimension of the “Zeitenwende” and facilitate artistic and discursive engagement with the topic.

Project Coordinator for an exhibition and artistic research project (in Vilnius)
The position is to be filled from February 2025 for one year (including a 3-months probationary period). This is a temporary part-time position (30 hours per week).About Goethe-Institut

Your tasks and responsibilities
In close cooperation with the director of the institute:
- Project management, incl. planning, preparing and implementing of project activities (in close coordination with the project partners)
- Financial management of project activities (incl. awarding contracts in accordance with the Goethe-Institut's award guidelines and drawing up contracts)
- Evaluation and reporting of project activities
- Hospitality within the framework of the project
- Supporting project-related media and public relations work, including providing content for the website and social media
- Supporting the acquisition of further funding for the project
- University degree or equivalent competencies and skills
- Experience in the coordination of cultural programs
- Strong interest in and knowledge of artistic processes, and contemporary discourses
- Excellent written and spoken knowledge of Lithuanian and English; German is an asset
- Good IT and social media skills
- Strong organizational & social skills, communication skills, sense of responsibility & diligence, initiative & independence
- Enjoy working with different people and in teams
- Willingness to familiarize yourself with internal applications and systems (partially in Germany language)
- Willingness to attend appointments and events outside of regular working hours
- Varied and interesting tasks in an important project with significant partners and in an international team.
- A secure salary according to the remuneration scheme of the Goethe-Institut Lithuania. The salary is €1,555-1,721 per month (gross; entry level salary depends on relevant work experience).
