Press Play ist eine Veranstaltungsreihe organisiert vom Goethe-Institut Niederlande, bei dem Special Guests eingeladen sind, eine Playlist - bestehend aus Pop-Musik - mitzubringen, die in einem intimen Kreis kollektiv gehört wird, um über ihren Kontext in der Pop-Kultur zu sprechen.

Am Donnerstag, den 22. Juni 2023 ist rapper und Musiker Kourosh zu gast. 

Anmeldung Kourosh ist ein iranisch-niederländischer Produzent, Rapper und Performer mit Sitz in Amsterdam. Er produziert psychedelischen Trap und Hip-Hop und rappt und singt auf Englisch und Farsi. Kourosh hat eine energiegeladene Liveshow, bei der er Tracks mit hohem Tempo spielt, die nicht selten zu Moshpits werden. Er hat in letzter Zeit an vielen Orten gespielt, zum Beispiel am Melkweg, Euro Sonic Groningen, Grasnapolsky Festival, Kanaal 40, Garage Noord und wird diesen Sommer auf Festivals wie Wildeburg spielen. Darüber hinaus gibt Kourosh in diesem Sommer sein internationales Debüt mit Konzerten in mehreren europäischen Ländern.

Bei dieser Listening Session wird Kourosh über seinen Musikgeschmack und seine Inspiration für seine eigenen Produktionen sprechen. Er wird zeigen, welche Songs ihn inspirieren und warum sie das tun. Es wird Avantgarde-Cloud-Rap, Punk-Rap, Trap, iranischen Psychedelic-Rock und Indie-Rock gespielt werden. Kourosh wird auf seine Lieblingssongs eingehen und anhand einer Produktionsdemonstration auf der Musikproduktions Software Ableton Live zeigen, wie er seinen Produktionsprozess startet.

Kourosh is an Iranian-Dutch producer, rapper and performer based in Amsterdam. He produces psychedelic trap and hip hop, and raps and sings in English and Farsi. Kourosh has an energetic live show in which he plays high bpm tracks that turn into mosh pits. He has recently played at  Melkweg, Euro Sonic Groningen, Grasnapolsky Festival, Kanaal 40, Garage Noord to name a few and will play at festivals like Wildeburg this summer. Kourosh is furthermore making his international debut with concerts in multiple European countries this summer. 

In this listening session Kourosh will talk about his music taste and his inspiration for his own productions. He will explain which songs have an impact on him and why they do so. Expect avant-garde cloud rap, punk rap, trap, Iran psychedelic rock, and indie-rock. He will delve into his favorite songs and he will demonstrate how he starts his production process through a production demonstration on the music production software Ableton Live.
