Eligibility
The contest is open to any Filipino citizen and permanent resident of the Philippines of legal age (18 years old and above).
Quiz
Participants need to go to the German Film Week website (Goethe.de/GermanFilmWeekPH) and head to the WATCH 'N WIN section.
Participants need to give the required information (name, contact details, etc.) on the website form. The name the participant enters on the form must be identical to one appearing on her/his valid ID.
Participants then need to answer a 10-question quiz (multiple choice format) about the films featured at the 3rd German Film Week. Upon completion of the quiz, participants will have to submit their answers by clicking on a “submit” button.
The result of the quiz (number of correct answers) will not be revealed to the participant.
Raffle
Completing the quiz serves as the participants’ entry into the raffle. For every answered question on the quiz, a participant is given one (1) point. The more points a participant has, the more likely it is for them to be selected as winners in the raffle.
Selection of Winner and Prizes
The quiz will be on-line from November 6 to December 10, 2018. The link to the quiz will appear on this website. On December 11, three (3) participants will be selected randomly as winners of the following prizes:
3rd prize: Gift basket containing German food products
2nd prize: Gift certificate for a German-branded apparel
1st prize: A free trip to Germany for one (1) person, due for 2019
Claiming of Prizes
The winners will be invited to come to the Goethe-Institut Philippinen to claim their prizes (exceptions may be arranged, if deemed reasonable). Upon claiming, they are required to present a proof of identification. Failure to respond to the invitation until December 15, 2018 will result in forfeiture, as well as failure to produce any proof of identification. In case of such, the organizers would randomly select another person as winner.
The organizers reserve the right to ask the claimant for further proof of identification, if deemed necessary.
Technicalities, Forfeiture, etc.
Multiple tries -- Participants may repeat the quiz several times. However, only the answers submitted last will be considered for the raffle. All previous submissions by the same participant shall be invalidated, regardless of the number of correct answers.
Prizes -- The prizes must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the winners are unable to use the prizes. The prizes are not exchangeable or redeemable for cash or other goods or services. Any unused portions of any of the prizes will be forfeited.
Free Trip to Germany -- The prize includes the flights and accommodations in one city for 4 nights during the trip. Other expenses (local transfers, visa fees, meals, etc.) shall be borne by the winner.
The flight route should strictly be PHILIPPINES - GERMANY - PHILIPPINES. The actual city of entry and exit in Germany shall be agreed upon by the winner and the Goethe-Institut. The selection of airline and stopovers, if ever, shall be made exclusively by the Goethe-Institut.
There can be no changes made to travel arrangements, including name changes, once tickets are issued.
The prize is considered claimed once written confirmations of the flight bookings and accommodation bookings in Germany are sent to the winner.
The flights must be booked and ticketed at least 6 weeks before the intended departure. The departure date from the Philippines must be on or after February 15, 2019. The flights must be booked and ticketed by 30 September 2019.
The winner shall be required to procure by him/herself the necessary documents (passport, visa, etc.) for him/her to be able to make the trip to Germany.
In case the winner is not able to secure a valid visa (if necessary) by September 30, 2019, the prize will be considered null and void.
Goethe-Institut employees and currently active members of the teaching staff and their relatives up to their third degree of affinity or consanguinity are disqualified from joining the competition.
