In celebration of the 4th German Film Week, Goethe-Institut Philippinen is giving away amazing surprises to select individuals who will join the “Watch 'N Win” contest. To join, kindly read the mechanics below:

Eligibility
The contest is open to any Filipino citizen and permanent resident of the Philippines of legal age (18 years old and above).
Quiz
Participants will have to get a sheet of paper with the quiz questions for the film just before entering the cinema hall. Each film has its own five questions that need to be answered by the participants. The result of the quiz (number of correct answers) will not be revealed to the participants immediately.
Raffle
Completing the quiz serves as the participants’ entry into the raffle. For every answered question on the quiz, a participant is given one (1) point. The more points a participant has, the more likely it is for them to be selected as a successful contestant in the raffle.
Selection of Winner and Prizes
The quiz will be open from the first day of the German Film Week in Manila, November 7 until the last day, which is November 12. The quiz will also be open in our regional screenings as follows:
- Cebu (From November 20 to 23)
- Cagayan de Oro (From November 25 to 29)
- Baguio (From December 09 to 15)
On January 20, 2020, three (3) participants will be selected randomly as recipient of the following rewards:
3rd prize: Gift basket containing German food products
2nd prize: Gift certificate for a German-branded apparel
1st prize: A free trip to Germany for one (1) person, due for 2020
Claiming of Prizes
The rewarded individuals will be invited to come to the Goethe-Institut Philippinen to claim their rewards (exceptions may be arranged, if deemed reasonable). Upon claiming, they are required to present a proof of identification. Failure to respond to the invitation until December 16, 2019 will result in forfeiture, as well as failure to produce any proof of identification. In case of such, the organizers would randomly select another person as the new recipient of the reward.
The organizers reserve the right to ask the claimant for further proof of identification, if deemed necessary.
Technicalities, Forfeiture, etc.
Multiple tries— Participants may repeat the quiz several times. In order to do so they just need to ask for another quiz paper.
Rewards—The rewards must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the selected individuals are unable to use the rewards. The rewards are not exchangeable or redeemable for cash or other goods or services. Any unused portions of any of the rewards will be forfeited.
Free Trip to Germany—The reward includes the flights and accommodations in one city for 4 nights during the trip. Other expenses (local transfers, visa fees, meals, etc.) shall be borne by the winner.
The flight route should strictly be PHILIPPINES - GERMANY - PHILIPPINES. The actual city of entry and exit in Germany shall be agreed upon by the selected recipient and the Goethe-Institut. The selection of airline and stopovers, if ever, shall be made exclusively by the Goethe-Institut.
There can be no changes made to travel arrangements, including name changes, once tickets are issued.
The reward is considered claimed once written confirmations of the flight bookings and accommodation bookings in Germany are sent to the winner.
The flights must be booked and ticketed at least 6 weeks before the intended departure. The departure date from the Philippines must be on or after February 15, 2020. The flights must be booked and ticketed by September 30, 2020.
The recipient shall be required to procure by him/herself the necessary documents (passport, visa, etc.) for him/her to be able to make the trip to Germany.
In case the recipient is not able to secure a valid visa (if necessary) by September 30, 2020, the reward will be considered null and void.
Goethe-Institut employees and currently active members of the teaching staff and their relatives up to their third degree of affinity or consanguinity are disqualified from joining the contest.
