Rumpus Studios' founder, Celine Mallari, designs and sells garments in what can be called as "deconstructivist" design. She sells non-conformist clothing that aims to shatter the notion of a distinct 'feminine' or 'masculine' figure. Her garments consist mainly of button-down shirts and shirt dresses that goes between freesize and oversize. Her materials are locally-sourced and adheres to slow fashion standards.
Recently, Celine co-founded Garbo, a slow fashion brand that caters to elderly clientele. Garbo’s initial line taps 2020’s fashion trends — organic and biodegradable materials, undyed color, and simplified manufacturing processes.
Story
A fresh graduate of the De La Salle - College of St. Benilde, Celine Mallari has been designing pieces since she was 13. She's been selling pieces all throughout her college years and is a frequent exhibitor at alternative fairs and similar events.
