The contest is open to students who are Filipino citizens aged 12 years old to 18 years old and are currently enrolled and studying German at the following schools: PASCH Schools Liceo de Cagayan University New Era High School German European School Manila SPFL Schools San Francisco High School Novaliches High School Jose Abad Santos High School San Juan National High School Parañaque National High School Bangkal High School Pasay West High School Rizal High School

Selection of Winners and Prizes

Submission starts on March 01, 2021 and will run until April 15, 2021, 6pm. On April 23, 2021, six (6) entries will be selected randomly as recipient of the following rewards: Six (6) Major Prizes – A new vlogging Camera

The rewarded individuals will be notified via email by the Goethe-Institut Philippinen to verify their identity by presenting a proof of identification. Failure to respond to the message until April 28, 2021 will result in forfeiture, as well as failure to produce any proof of identification. In case of such, the organizers would randomly select another person as the new recipient of the reward. The winners are required to present their parent or guardian's proof of identification along with their latest student I.D. or birth certificate which indicates their relationship to each other. The organizers reserve the right to ask the claimant for further proof of identification, if deemed necessary. Because of the current situation, all prizes will be shipped to the winners' addresses. It is the winner's responsibility to provide the correct shipping address and contact information. The Goethe-Institut Philippinen will be sending the items through a trusted courier but will not be responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged item because of transit.

Participants agree that all transmitted data and information will be electronically stored and processed by the Goethe-Institut. Presentation may be recorded and appear on social media channels of the Goethe Institut. If necessary, the data will also be made available to project partner organisations. The transfer of the data is in our interest as well as in the interest of the participants as it serves to ensure that they are adequately cared for. The data will always be kept confidential.

The parents/guardians assume full liability for the students during the entire duration of the project. The Goethe-Institut, its employees or persons acting on its behalf cannot be made liable for any damages that may arise in connection with the participation. Instead, the parents/guardians shall bear the costs of such damages. This does not apply to damage resulting from gross negligence or intentional actions of an employee of the Goethe-Institut or person acting on its behalf.

Technicalities, Forfeiture, etc.

Multiple tries — Participants can only send one entry, multiple entries are not allowed. In case we detected such activity, your entry will be taken out. Online Publication - The prize winner agrees that the Goethe-Institut Philippinen may publish their name, town/city of residence in any media in connection with the Raffle and on Goethe-Institut Philippinen's website. Rewards —The rewards must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the selected individuals are unable to use the rewards. The rewards are not exchangeable or redeemable for cash or other goods or services. Any unused portions of any of the rewards will be forfeited. Goethe-Institut employees and currently active members of the teaching staff and their relatives up to their third degree of affinity or consanguinity are disqualified from joining the contest.

Are you 12-17 years old and learning German from one of our affiliated schools? We are on the lookout for PASCH or under Special Program for Foreign Language students, who want to capture their experience as a young German student and share it with our German Students community. All you need to do is film your experience, vlog style, edit, and send the video to us. 6 students with the best Vlog will win a new Vlogging Camera!

Whether you are a seasoned vlogger or are trying it for the first time, we want to see your personal experience of starting your German learning adventure with us!

Your creative freedom is extremely important, so we’re keeping the rules to a minimum.

Your vlog or picture story needs to show a well-rounded experience as young German Student.

All filming and editing should be done unaided – we want to see your vision!
Be creative and authentic when portraying your experience
Film and edit your vlog in a way that is personal to you

To join the Vlogging Contest, please fill-out the the application here. Make sure to send a download link to your video. The video should follow the format below:

Video should be in German/English and must have German subtitles.
Length of the video must be no less than 3 minutes and no longer than 5 minutes.
Videos should be in mp4 file format.
All entries must follow the theme “A day in my Life as German Student / Ein Leben als deustcher Student”.
All entries must be original and made by the person entering the competition
File name shall be in the following format: Last Name, First Name_Name of School.
