ITIKLANDIA
ItikLandia was created by the creative minds at Daloy Dance Company during their residency at the British School Manila in 2023. The piece serves as a physical hymn to the natural world we all share, live in, and depend upon. It was inspired by the traditional Filipino folk dance "Itik-iti".. "ItikLandia" offers a singular and thought-provoking perspective that will captivate audiences and inspire a deeper connection with their cultural roots by fusing elements of Filipino heritage with modern expressions.

BABAE
Joy Alpuerto Ritter, a renowned performer with a background in contemporary dance, created and performed "Babae," a remarkable 30-minute solo performance piece. Joy's work reimagines the mystical rituals and power summoning associated with women as witches by drawing inspiration from Mary Wigman's "Witch Dance." Joy presents a mesmerizing interplay between the animalistic and sensual aspects of ritual and power by combining her training in Philippine folk dance, classical and contemporary styles, as well as hip hop and voguing. Through "Babae," she challenges and reimagines ideas of femininity while showcasing the power, poise, and resiliency unique to the female experience.
