Mishkal Art Residencies - Round Two

Art Mishkhal

Are you a Palestinian artist or organization dedicated to preserving and revitalizing Palestinian cultural heritage, artistic expression, and creative industries? Are you looking to enhance your artistic production skills, build new connections, and explore new markets for your work?

This could be the perfect opportunity you've been looking for.

The Goethe-Institut on behalf of the EUNIC – European Union National Institutes for Culture Cluster Palestine and the European Union is pleased to announce an opportunity for emerging Palestinian and European artists, male and female, to participate in an interdisciplinary artistic residency program.

This residency seeks to foster collaboration, experimentation, presentation, and performance of new works that engage local communities in Palestinian heritage sites, as well as international audiences online.

Successful applicants will be provided with an inspiring cultural environment to experiment and express their artistic vision either individually or collaboratively on multi-disciplinary art projects, exhibitions, and open studios.

The residency program aims to facilitate creative discussions and exchanges among participants through tours, lectures, and seminars.

This is an opportunity to disconnect from their daily routines, dedicate time to artistic research, experiment creatively, and develop their professional practice in a collaborative environment.

The program also supports the international collaboration and multilateral alliances, with European artists in creating and evolving innovative artworks,

The residency will culminate in public events at a cultural heritage site, bringing local and international audiences together in these historical places (in person and virtually) showcasing these productions and projects that aim to preserve and enhance the Palestinian cultural heritage.

What the residency offers:
The residency will offer free studio space, a per diem allowance and production grant for materials and other production costs, mentoring, and logistical support to culminate in an exhibition/public event.
