Bach suits no. 1, 2 & 3
Theo Bross is a German chello musician who is based in Kigali and performs internationally. We are delighted that he will be giving a Bach concert at our institute. The event with German classical music invites intercultural encounters under the palm trees of Kigali and we cordially invite all interested people, no matter how much knowledge you have in the field of classical music.
Each suite comprises of 6 sets of varying characters and will be presented in G major, D minor, and C major. Between the suites, Theo Bross will play short solo pieces by later-born composers who were inspired by J.S. Bach. It is also well know that it took Pablo Casals, one of the worlds most famous chellists, 12 years before he felt ready to perform one of the suites publicly. He described them as the very essence of Bach, who, in turn, is the essence of music.
