SAAI - Super Artistic AI
SAAI
Workshop on Art & AI
Riyadh, June 8 - 14, 2023
Call for Participation
This Open Call is aimed at young emerging artists and computer scientists from Saudi Arabia interested in artistic processes.
From June 8-14, 2023, a workshop will be held in Riyadh, focusing on the theme of "Artificial Intelligence & Artistic Production". This project at the intersection of art and technology explores the possibilities for artistic creation and processes arising by this young technology.
Various artists and experts will be on hand to give short presentations on their unique approaches and working contexts, and to work with participants on their own project ideas.
Participants should pull up interdisciplinary teams, and it is intended to open up the workshop to an international context through a digital component.
After the workshop, these projects will be further developed and/or documented via video; the goal is to present the final results on the occasion of the Global AI Summit 2023 in Riyadh, which is expected to take place in September.
Artists from Saudi Arabia, Germany, France, Austria, Italy and Estonia are involved in the project management, the workshop and the supervision of the projects/artworks created.
We will provide a decent number of grants to compensate for travel costs within Saudi Arabia.
