Workshops for teachers of all disciplines as part of the Environmental Schools Project.

Would you like to turn your school into an environmentally friendly place of learning? Would you like to promote environmental protection in your school and use the new changes as a learning process with your students?

Together with teachers from Saudi Arabia, you can create a list of criteria for your schools and develop ideas on how to make your school more environmentally friendly. The best school will receive the slogan “Eco-friendly school” if they introduce the sustainability criteria and implement them for a period of two years.

IN OUR WORKSHOPS WE OFFER THE FOLLOWING:

1. Raising awareness among teachers in the area of environmental protection and sustainability
2. Providing teachers with a method kit for environmentally friendly living
3. Empowering multipliers and mentors to carry out individually tailored projects in schools
4. Sensitizing society to the topic of environmental protection through media-effective measures in public life
5. Developing methods for making everyday school life sustainable and environmentally friendly with simple means and small steps
6. Determining the criteria that schools must meet in order to be awarded the Environmental School label.

• The online kick-off phase runs from 23 April – 30 April 2025
• The face-to-face workshop will take place from 20 – 31 October 2025
• The online final phase will run from 10 November – 07 December 2025

CRITERIA FOR THE SELECTION OF TEACHERS:

1. Interest in environmental and sustainability issues in general
2. Motivation and time to carry out projects at schools and/or with pupils
3. Knowledge of computers (knowledge of Moodle is an advantage)
4. Knowledge of German and/or Arabic
5. The ability to organize and lead post-training workshops for teachers to impart the acquired knowledge to them
6. Willingness to carry out projects with students and workshops in the areas of environmental protection and sustainability
