Dancing Pina celebrates the life and art of legendary dancer and choreographer Pina Bausch, and the people who interpret her work today. The film follows two re-enactments of her work: the venerable Semperoper in Dresden, Germany, and the École des Sables in a fishing village near Dakar, Senegal. And through the diverse stories, bodies, and geographies of these dancers, the work and poignance of an inimitable and revoluntionary artist are brought back to life.
