Dying revolves around the estranged and dysfunctional Lunies family—orchestra conductor Tom, ailing parents Lissy and Gerd, and alcoholic little sister, Ellen. Each family member encounters death in some way, and each is confronted by their profound tragi-comedic circumstances.
