Winners

Said Ahmed

Said Ahmed is a multi-talented visual artist, who has many artistic participations in various exhibitions, such as a solo cartoon exhibition on the "Sudanese Revolution" at the Haq Salon Forum in Cairo, in addition to the design and implementation of mosaic murals such as the Kurdofan mural at El-Obeid International Airport and many artistic achievements.

About the project: Said Ahmed, with the support of the Production Fund project, will present us with the design of a huge mosaic mural inspired by the spirit of the glorious December revolution, which is a formation of ceramic pieces and coloured mosaics with each other to create a beautiful artistic tapestry that reflects what was called the “Ultra City” during sit-in days. Siham Abdullah

Siham Abdullah; An actress with extensive experience in the field of acting, her artistic debut was in 2016, and now she is part of the Y-peer Youth Peer Education Network Theatre, in addition to being a member of the British Cultural Centre theatre, and responsible for events and programs for the Roots Musical Band.

About the project: Siham, with the support of the Production Fund project, will present to us “Shadow Imagination” shows, which will address combating violence against women and awareness of women’s rights. The performances will be held in North Kurdofan State, then the show will be documented to become content displayed on all the different cultural and awareness platforms. Mustafa Abd Elsalam

Mustafa Abd Elsalam, known as Scorpion, is a Sudanese rap artist from Sennar. He has a number of solo and joint songs and focuses in his artworks on social and political issues, one of his most famous songs; Accused of revolution, love and peace, independence. Mustafa seeks to mix traditional Sudanese music with rap. He participated in a number of artistic and cultural events, including the Karmakol Festival.

About the project: With the support of the Production Fund, Mostafa will share with us a rap song filmed in a state, which will be a mixture of local music in the Blue Nile and modern rap music
 

Hussein Saleh

Hussein Saleh is a photographer with extensive experience in the field of photography. He held a number of photographic exhibitions; “Butterflies of Al-Gash” for two sessions in 2014/2015, and “Traveling Memory” in 2019, in addition to his continuous participation in many Sudanese newspapers and news websites.

About the project: Photographer Hussein, with the support of the Production Fund, will produce a photography book containing 100 images and texts that reflect different stories about the Ethiopian refugees in eastern Sudan.
 

Sarah Hamza

Sarah Hamza Al-Jack Abdullah is an architect and writer, director and founder of the Al-Fal Cultural Centre. She has published many texts in newspapers and some websites such as Al-Mankhil, Al-Mahallaj and Phobia magazines. She also worked as a trainer in the field of creative writing, she won many awards concerned with short stories such as "The Dialogue of Nostalgia", and "Shadows", as well as the second prize in the Tayeb Salih Short Story Competition for the year 2009.

About the project: Sarah shares with us, with the support and funding of the Production Fund, an independent novel that she wrote and her own work, entitled "The Riddle." The book answers questions that were difficult to answer in light of the past thirty-year political era. Building a homeland was and still is a dream for everyone!
 

Architecture Photography Sudan

Architecture Photography Sudan: “Samiya”, “Asim”, “Shama” and “Osama” are known together by the Architecture Photography group, they were brought together by common questions about the architectural identity of Khartoum, and the goal is towards documenting the various buildings and creating a visual reference for architecture in the different cities of Sudan.

About the project: "WE GO THE DISTANCE" The team, with the support of the Production Fund, will present us with an architectural documentation project for the architectural identity of the states of Sudan, accompanied by an exhibition to present the outcome of the visual and cultural journey to the artistic, social and engineering audience.
 

Abdalsalam Alhaj

Abdalsalam Alhaj is a visual artist and producer, with long experience in the field of digital media, he is the founder of Rift Digital Lab, a pioneer in virtual and augmented reality technology and production of podcasts and audiobooks in Sudan.

About the project: The Production Fund supports Abdel Salam in (post-production) for his film project (Night Shift), the first 360 virtual reality film by a Sudanese director, where the film was selected for the Venice International Festival among the most promising projects in the field of virtual reality for the year 2020, documentary Its duration (13 minutes) is about the Sudanese revolution, narrated by two characters, the Joker and the mother of the martyr Qusai Hamdto, as they will convey to us in an immersive and poetic experience the details and transformations of the December 2019 revolution. Jury

Cheb Amir

Cheb Amir: one of the members of the selection committee for the Production Grants Project, Amir Babiker Mohamed Jaber (Cheb Amir) a graduate of the University of Gezira College of Computer Science and Sudan University of Science and Technology College of Music and Drama, interested in the issues of society in general, especially the issues of children and vulnerable groups, and trying to treat them through art and music.
 

Eman Hisham

Eman Hisham: Visual artist, the founder of FIORA Foundation for Visual Arts, Interior Design and Agriculture. During her career, Eman has presented three independent exhibitions: Intorno al Mondo, Original, and Mama Africa. In addition to being the founder of Go Greeny, a community initiative that uses art as a way to encourage people to farm. Eman shared with us her experience as a jury member of the Production Fund Project: “The Goethe-Institut was and still offers great opportunities for young people in different fields. I was very happy to join the jury for the Production Fund 2021 project, it was a wonderful and fun addition full of promising ideas and projects”
 

Adullah Idris

Abdullah Idris Abdel Mawla is a writer, fiction author and art critic. Some of his distributed novels: “Shazaia Albouh” published by Dar Awraq for Publishing and Distribution 2014 (Egypt) and the “Belad Manseia” novel by Arab Science House of for Publishing and Distribution 2016 (Egypt).
