Hacettepe Universität Ankara
After the establishment of a chair of pediatrics in 1954, which later evolved into the present-day renowned Faculty of Medicine, Hacettepe University in Ankara was officially founded in 1969. Recognized as one of the premier universities in the Republic of Turkey, Hacettepe University stands strong with 16 faculties, 15 institutes, 4 vocational schools, 2 colleges, 1 conservatory, and 98 research and application centers, continually contributing to societal advancement and universal values in science, technology, and the arts. Spread across two campuses in Sıhhiye and Beytepe districts, Hacettepe University hosts a student body of over 53,000 enrolled across 14 faculties. About 4,000 scholars actively participate in teaching and research across a wide spectrum of over 500 programs. According to EduRank, Hacettepe University stands out as the top university among a total of 16 in the Turkish capital and ranks as the second-best institution nationwide (as of July 2023).
In 2019, marking its 50th anniversary, Hacettepe University proudly established the Research Center for Turkish-German Relations (HÜTAI).
