Peter Rösel. Peter Rösel was born in 1966 in Rockenhausen, Germany, and teaches at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weissensee. He had numerous solo exhibitions in Germany, Japan and the US and participated in group exhibitions in France, India, Israel, Japan, the US and Switzerland.
In
Coming Up, Peter Rösel makes reference to the visual appearance of the so-called “wait-cursor”. Wait-cursors indicate to the user of a computer program, that the system works on the solution of an internal problem, which impedes the functionality of its applications. Peter Rösel translates these icons into three-dimensional physical objects, which will in the reception area of the Goethe-Institut work diligently to achieve their mysterious goal, until the batteries will run out of energy.
