Tamara Bach and Michael Sieben have written sensitive works about the difficulties of growing up and the immense value of friendship.
Translators Le Hong Hoa and Le Quang will present the books.
Tamaras Bach's "Vierzehn" plays on a single day: on the first day of school after the summer holidays. Beh is fourteen and has been ill for the last two weeks of school. She could not go on holiday with the others and did not see her friends for eight weeks. Beh was only at home. But there is more that the friends do not know about, and that she has to deal with on her own.
Michael Seven's "Ponderosa" is the name of the secret retreat of three friends, a deserted hut on the edge of the settlement. There, Kris, Josie and Yuri meet. They talk, smoke and stare into the sky. One day Josie's neighbor disappears. The three friends are investigating.
Based on Tamara Bach's "Fourteen" and Michael Sieben's "Ponderosa", the translators Le Quang and Le Hong Hoa recreate the feeling of growing up and show the dreams of youth.
