Broadcasting Culture

BROADCASTING CULTURE is a digital platform, funded by the EU and co-funded by the Goethe-Institut in the framework of the project EU4Dialogue. The platform’s overall goal is to share audiovisual content about art, culture and education in the South Caucasus and the Republic of Moldova, including the conflict-affected regions.

Rooted in the specificities of regional landscapes, BROADCASTING CULTURE wants to actively contribute to the dynamics of the general societal and cultural environment intra- and among- South Caucasus, the Republic of Moldova and EU correspondents. The selection includes films, videos, podcasts and texts produced in the frames of EU4Dialogue, to share information about each other's perspectives and learning processes.

BROADCASTING CULTURE facilitates and initiates a cultural dialogue based on local narratives and cultural dynamics. Moreover, the project catalyses the cultural exchanges that artists, cultural managers, and other cultural professionals experience during the networking events of the EU4Dialogue's Cultural Management Academies and Residencies, organized by the Goethe-Institut. Lectures, discussions and masterclasses are made available for a broader audience in the region.

Fostering active collaborations among local communities, the platform adopts a transdisciplinary ethos, enhancing grassroots movements' capacity to facilitate community-based cultural performances and develop neighbourhood-based voices, promoting positive community relations and active collaborative practices between the most vulnerable groups, including displaced individuals.

EU4Dialogue
The Goethe-Institut is leading a Work Package of the EU4Dialogue project within the 3rd component (Education and Culture), which in turn is led by the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service).
