The material associated with 17 sutainable development goals serves to familiarize students with global issues and encourage them to get active and address them. There are 24 units: 17 modules for youth including an introduction and conclusion module, and 5 modules for children. Each module is designed for approximatley 60 minute sessions. The order in which the modules are completed is flexible. Depending on differing needs and time constraints, modules can be chosen out of order, shortened, or combined. The structure of each module is similar throughout. At the beginning of each unit, students learn about the goals associated with each unit. They think about the central problem, deepen their understanding for the thopic, and consider what type of solution they might be able to offer. The working languages are German and English, however the level of German of each specific student group will determine how much German is used in the class. The decision about how much German to use is that of the teachers. In order to track learning progress, the students fill out memo sheets in each unit. It is recommended that these be filled out and saved in a folder.
