Description

“Ich liebe tyska in 4 Rubriken“ is a creative and exciting series of worksheets for young learners of German who want to improve their language skills in a fun way. In four thematic areas - food, fashion, Berlin and German - learners are immersed in interesting and everyday content that deals with both linguistic and cultural aspects of German-speaking countries.

Berlin: The worksheet guides young people through the fascinating capital city of Germany. They get to know famous sights and learn important facts about the building of the Berlin Wall and reunification.

German: In this worksheet, learners look at language families in general and German as part of the Germanic language family. They compare German with Swedish and discover common as well as different words and phrases. They also learn about the German youth language and reflect on the meaning of their own mother tongue(s) and other languages.

Food: The young people discover what people typically eat in Germany in the worksheet on ‘Food’. They compare the culinary specialities of both countries and discuss important topics, including food waste and how to avoid or even counteract it.

Fashion: In the worksheet on ‘Fashion’, the topic of shopping is scrutinised. It discusses the shopping habits of young people in relation to clothing, the difference between fast and sustainable fashion and the ecological and social consequences of our consumption behaviour.
