Calliope mini is as versatile as the possibilities of today's technical world and is suitable for use in teaching German. To begin, we will explore with students where programmable objects can be found in their surroundings.
This activity is suitable for group work, where, after splitting up, students play computer Scrabble. Each group writes the word COMPUTERPROGRAMM from top to bottom on a piece of paper and matches each letter with an object used in everyday life that needs to be programmed or is controlled by a computer program (e.g. traffic light, washing machine, ...) The letter does not have to be at the beginning but can be in the middle of the word, for example. The group that finds the most terms within five minutes wins. At the end of the game, it is possible to evaluate which programmes are considered particularly important and which still need to be developed for use in everyday life.

Creativity, teamwork as well as communicative skills are promoted through exciting experiments and problem-oriented practice tasks as well as critical thinking.
