Description

The material "Europe has voted" deals with the results of the 2024 European elections. First, the relatively difficult vocabulary is introduced. Then the EU countries are reviewed and country experts are identified. Learners discuss voting from the age of 16 and compare voter turnout in different countries. Finally, they create a country profile and take a trip around Europe.
Grammatically, they practice the preterite passive, the perfect indicative and the use of "more than" and "less than". Students also practice pronouncing percentages and expressing opinions.

(At the time of writing, the votes in Ireland had not yet been counted).
