Benjamin Lebert's autobiographical novel "Crazy" caused a stir in the literary scene at the end of the 1990s. Hans-Christian Schmid provided the film adaptation.
Teenager Benjamin (Robert Stadlober) is sent to boarding school by his quarrelsome parents. He is anything but good at math, so his chances of graduating from college are not very high. The half-sided paralyzed boy does much better outside the boarding school. Soon Benjamin makes friends with a clique, although he is rather shy. Parties with plenty of alcohol and a trip to the strip club are the result. Then Benjamin and his best friend Janosch (Tom Schilling) fall in love with the same girl - the attractive Malen (Oona Devi Liebich)...
