Roberto is a self-taught artist. He was born 55 years ago in a small town in Spain that is as cold as Berlin called Soria. At the age of eighteen, tired of the cold, he moved to Madrid, where he did his first work as an illustrator for different publishers, media and newspapers like Vogues or El País. In 2006 he launched “Artichoque” a small publishing house where he produced some illustrated books from his own pen such as Kamasutra or Petronia y la reina bigotuda (Petronia and the mustached queen). For his books Roberto received various awards. He is currently developing more personal projects for the gallery La Fiambrera in Madrid, where he is a resident artist.
