Halina Kliem is a cross-disciplinary artist born in the divided city of Berlin. She uses a combination of media,including video, photography, and the written word, to explore variations and gaps in perception, language, and communication.She studies diverse living beings, the human condition, and the space between science and alternative bodies of knowledge.
Her time-based media installations have been on view at the MAK Center for Art and Architecture, Los Angeles (USA); Kunstmuseum Bonn (Germany); Victoria and Albert Museum, London (UK); Lentos Museum of Modern Art, Linz (Austria); Neue Aachener Kunstverein (Germany); and Pace Gallery, New York (USA).
