The myth surrounding cats establishes its own context in public space, providing ample research material for Cat Cult, the LA-based street art collective. Cat Cult uses a variety of media, including illustration, printing, stenciling, glue, photography, painting, sewing, and graphic design.
Several of the collective's creations grace the streets of Los Angeles. In a humorous way, they play with the different identities attributed to the cat throughout history.
However, the collective seems to be no longer active in this form, currently only an abandoned Twitter profile can be found.
