To this day, the unknown French street artist Space Invader has placed more than 4,000 of his artistic tile installations around the world. His works are heavily influenced by pop culture, particularly comics, video games and anime. One example of this is the "Fire Flower" from Super Mario Bros, which challenges us high up on a building in Manhattan - if only you could get up there to throw fireballs at enemies. In a later series, Invader installed a series of camera flowers to draw attention to the surveillance vines overgrowing London.
