Can you imagine a country in which freedom of speech is so suppressed, that toys have to take part in demonstrations instead of people? Sounds absurd...? Welcome to Belarus! In this simulation, the relationship of trust and mistrust is explored in a society in which fear is used as the main means of citizen control. Participants explore feelings and social interactions in situations in which the majority of people want a change of regime, but where it is dangerous to express such ideas. It’s never certain who is watching.

The game from Danish game designer Lena Mech is inspired by real life events. Activists organised toy demonstrations in protest against dictator Alexander Lukashenko as far back as 2012.
