Workshop
The New Me
Creative strategies for outsmarting facial recognition software
11 May
4:15 PM-5:45 PM
In this workshop, we follow Bauhaus artists on their search for the “New Human” in times of changing social and technical circumstances. After a quick visit to the Bauhaus-Museum exhibition, we ourselves will explore the relationship between people and technology in an artistic and creative manner.
To what extent do we trust new technologies, but also each other as human individuals? How do my fellow human beings see me – and how am I measured by a machine? Which data do I provide about myself permanently, for example, when using the internet?
In the workshop, we want to explore a critical and creative approach to new technologies, based on the example of a facial recognition app. In pairs, we will build masks for each other to try to trick the facial recognition algorithm.
A workshop in cooperation with the Klassik Stiftung Weimar.
