The Interview
12 May
12:30 PM-2:00 PM
The Interview is a game lasting about ten minutes with two participants. In an interrogation setting, the goal is to find out whether the person being interviewed is a real human - or a cyborg.
Special measuring instruments collect and analyse data from the suspect on the basis of physical micro-reactions. The interviewer must evaluate the data in order to figure out whether the other party is lying or not. The aim of player 1 is to discover the truth. Player 2, on the other hand, tells lies as a cyborg but the truth as a human.
The game is inspired by the Voight-Kampff test, a concept from the famous science fiction film Blade Runner with Harrison Ford in the lead role. The film is based on Philip K. Dick’s book, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?
Designed by Italian game designer Matteo Uguzzoni, who currently lives in the USA, with technical assistance from Brice Lemke and on site support from Maria Saridaki.
