Tina Lorenz

Tina Lorenz, Head of Hertz Lab at ZKM, Karlsruhe, has a diverse background rooted in technology and the arts. Raised within the Chaos Computer Club, she studied Theater Studies and American Literary History in Vienna and Munich. Lorenz lectured on Theater History at the Academy for Performing Arts in Bavaria, worked as a dramaturg at the Landestheater Oberpfalz, and later served as a digital communication consultant at the State Theater Nuremberg. From 2020 to 2023, she founded and directed the Digital Theater department at the State Theater Augsburg. A founding member of the hackspace metalab Vienna and Binary Kitchen Regensburg, Lorenz assumed her role at ZKM's Hertzlab in January 2024, overseeing artistic research and development.
