About

ZEITGEISTER is the Goethe-Institut’s cultural magazine. We appeal to people who are interested in art, international perspectives, original (even nerdy) topics, zines and Germany. ZEITGEISTER appears four times a year. Each time, we invite international artists and authors to contribute to our magazine with anecdotes, essays, podcasts, illustrations, videos, discussions and photo series.

ZEITGEISTER is published at the Goethe-Institut head office in Munich – with the help of partners and colleagues at 151 branches of the Goethe-Institut in 98 countries. The Goethe-Institut is the globally active cultural institution of the Federal Republic of Germany. We are committed to promoting understanding between Germany, Europe and the rest of the world.
