Hiba Obaid is a journalist and social media editor. She holds a degree in Arabic literature from the University of Aleppo and has written for magazines and newspapers in Syria, Lebanon, Turkey and Germany. She has been living in Berlin since October 2015. Hiba is currently working as a social media editor for Deutschlandfunk-Kultur and writes for Die WELT, taz and Tagesspiegel.
