Lydiette Carrión

Mexican journalist and writer. Her research provides a picture of violence against women in Mexico. She is the author of the book La fosa de agua (The Water Pit), research that documents cases of femicide in Tecámac and Ecatepec, in the state of Mexico. She won the 2012 Gender and Justice Award, given by the National Supreme Court of Justice in the Written Report category and also won the 2019 Gabo Prize for the collective work Mujeres en la vitrina (Women on Display).
