Natalie Mayroth

Natalie Mayroth divides her time as a journalist and photographer between South Asia and Europe. Her focus is on social and cultural issues - from equality to pop culture. She completed her Master's degree in European Ethnology, Sociology and Iranian Studies at LMU Munich. She has been reporting from India and the region since 2017. She came to Asia in 2016 through the Media Ambassador China Scholarship, followed by the Media Ambassador India Scholarship in 2017. Her texts have appeared in DW, taz, NZZ, SZ and VICE, among others. Natalie Mayroth is of German-Iranian origin.
