Dan Thy Nguyen is a freelance director, singer, actor and writer from Hamburg. He has worked on various productions at houses such as Kampnagel Hamburg, Mousonturm Frankfurt, the Freie Akademie der Künste Hamburg and the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen. In 2014 he created the piece Sonnenblumenhaus (Sunflower House) about the racist riots in Rostock-Lichtenhagen in 1992. The audio piece Sonnenblumenhaus won the Hörspielpreis Hörnixe in 2015. His new works reference the rise of the New Right in Europe and the idea of madness from a Russian-Asian perspective. In 2020 he founded the Hamburg festival fluctoplasma - 96h art, discourse, diversity. In 2021, together with the entire ensemble, he received the German Radio Play Award for the best performance of the production Atlas.
