Anja Quickert

Anja Quickert lives in Berlin and writes on a freelance basis for Theater heute, among other publications. Since 2011 she has been the executive director of the International Heiner Müller Society, responsible for its regular events. Anja Quickert has been a member of the DFG research group “Constellations of Crisis” since 2018, and is currently involved in a project at the University of Hildesheim entitled Market as Crisis in which she is researching the work practices, production conditions and aesthetics of the independent scene in Berlin. She has taught as a guest lecturer at Berlin University of the Arts and, as a dramaturg, initiated or provided dramaturgical support for numerous independent projects and festivals, including the musical theatre evening Wir sind das Volk (We are the people) with the Slovenian collective Laibach at the HAU Hebbel am Ufer theatre.
