Salma Sabek

Salma Sabek is an environmental engineer and writer based in Cairo, Egypt. Equipped with a pen and a burning desire for change, Salma has used writing to promote social and environmental justice from a very early age. Besides a career as an engineer, she worked as a marketing and communications manager with Egyptian Feminist Union and volunteered as a writer and content creator for the intersectional feminist online magazine Laila Khatoun, based in Iraq. Over time, she expanded her work to include all marginalised groups, especially in the MENA region.
