John Masuku

John Masuku is a veteran broadcaster and was the UNESCO 2023 World Radio Day Coordinator. The Zimbabwe native, who is also a media trainer and consultant, began working in radio in his homeland years before it gained its independence in 1980. Masuku is a vocal advocate for press freedom and also served as spokesman for a commission that investigated post-election violence in 2018 in Zimbabwe.
