Juan Martín Fierro

Juan Martín Fierro was born in Bogotá, Colombia. He is a lawyer and political scientist with graduate studies in Cultural Law. He started out as a journalist at Semana magazine and is a contributor to the daily newspaper El Tiempo. He has published the novels La música en mis ojos (The Music in My Eyes, 1997) and Madre Sierra (Mother Sierra, 2022), the biography Sofronín Martínez: el ángel de Pasacaballos (Sofronín Martínez: The Angel from Pasacaballos, 2015) and, in 2024, La forma en que sueñas (The Way You Dream), an anthology of interviews, texts and chronicles about music. He lives in Santa Marta.
