Symbiophilia

Symbiophilia consists of a series of musical works centered on the theme of the struggle against the existential threats posed to humanity by current natural and technological circumstances.

The project promotes intercultural collaborative practices in order to install a technological development program in Rio de Janeiro and produce new original works to be performed by a group of artists from Europe and South America. The works will be developed and presented in residencies in Brazil and Germany and are aimed at imagining new forms of coexistence between humanity, technology and nature. 

Ideated by Rodrigo Girafa(BR) in collaboration with the co producers Bryan Holmes(CI/BR) and Camila Nebbia(AR/DE), the project is built on the foundation laid by many years of intercultural work promoted by GRF Cultural.
