Coproduction partners: Mariia Zankovetska National Theater (Lviv) (Ukraine), Peaches & Rooster (Germany), Center for Urban History (Ukraine)
The Zankovestka National Theatre in Lviv invited director Jan-Christoph Gockel and his theater company peaches&rooster to collaborate. In October 2024, a production will be staged in Lviv that will make the figure of Joseph Roth known to a large audience.
In addition, the project is cooperating with the Lviv Urban History Center. The initiative is researching Jewish life in the city, among other things, and will participate in the project with research and a publication.

Our production combines different languages, backgrounds of team members, extending beyond the theater stage, thus becoming multifaceted interventions into the reality. We aim to reach out to both theater experienced and new audiences. This project aimsto show the common heritage of Ukraine, Austria and Germany and thus reach out to both Ukrainian and German speakingcommunities.
